Due to the resignation of Maggie Palazzolo as a Member of Council, there will be an opening on the Village of Mariemont Council.
Any Mariemont resident who has lived in the Village for one year or more and is interested in serving on Council should submit a letter of interest to the Village no later than June 21, 2021.
Letters should include your name, address, phone number, email address, and a brief resume.
Following receipt of the letters, each Council member may individually contact those who have expressed an interest for a brief interview.
Letters may be dropped off at the Village office or emailed to [email protected], where they will be forwarded to all Council members.
At a Special Meeting of Council on Thursday July 8, 2021 at 6:30 PM, Council will vote to select the new Councilperson. Prior to the vote, candidates will have an opportunity at that meeting to address Council (three minutes) and/or provide Council with any additional information as to why they would be an asset to Council.
Please bring a copy of prepared speech/notes to give to Mrs. Van Pelt for the minutes. Residents may also address Council (three minutes) at the Special Meeting in support of any of the candidates. Please bring a copy of prepared speech/notes to give to Mrs. Van Pelt for the Minutes.
