Rules for Shelter Rental
The park areas & shelters may be reserved for small private events. Please note that all reservable park areas & shelters in the Village have a maximum capacity of 30 people.
- Alcoholic beverages are NOT permitted in any Village park.
- Inflatable bounce houses are not allowed on Village-owned property.
- If you reserve a shelter for a private event, please make sure to bag your trash and take it with you.
- Most shelters may be reserved for MAXIMUM of TWO HOURS. The online reservation system automatically inserts 30 minutes before/after your reservation to allow time for set-up and clean-up so consecutive rentals are not available.
- The Boathouse may be reserved for a MAXIMUM of FIVE HOURS. The online reservation system automatically inserts 30 minutes before/after your reservation to allow time for set-up and clean-up so consecutive rentals are not available.
- Shelters may only be reserved March 1st through October 31st. They may be used November through February, but are not reservable during those months.
- If you need to CANCEL a reservation please email the office or call 513-271-3246, option #3. Online transaction fees are not refundable.

- Village of Mariemont residents may reserve shelters online for $25. Non-residents are required to pay a $100 fee in advance. a 3.5% transaction fee is added at checkout.
- To reserve a park area or shelter, select the shelter and desired date/time. Click on the green “Reserve/Buy” button and follow the prompts.
- Make sure to include your name, your address, a contact phone number, and your email address. If you do not have a credit card or would like to pay by check you may visit the Village office at 6907 Wooster Pike and pay by check, made payable to Village of Mariemont.
- When your reservation request has been processed, you will be sent a confirmation receipt by email. Please print out this receipt and take it with you on the day of your event. You may be asked to show this confirmation to a police officer if there is any dispute over the use of the park/shelter. Be sure to check your spam/junk email box.
- If you reserve a park and/or shelter for a private event, please make sure to bag your trash and take it with you.
- If you are reserving the shelter in Dogwood Park and there is a Bell Tower concert in progress, please do not use the ball field. The noise at the ball field keeps concert-goers from being able to hear and enjoy the music. (Most concerts take place at 7 PM on Sunday evenings from Memorial Day through Labor Day and in the afternoon on holidays.)
Reservable Shelters:
The Clarence Erickson Shelter (at Dogwood Park)
Address: 3271 Pleasant Street
Description: Covered shelter adjacent to enclosed Tot Lot playground with play equipment, close to soccer and baseball fields; no grills.
Amenities:
- 5 picnic tables
- Electricity (must request permission for it to be turned on)
- Near Bell Tower restrooms (open May to October)
- Water fountain
- Walking trail
- Bird/wildlife sanctuary
Rental Time: Maximum of 2 hours
Rental Fee: $25 for residents, $100 for non-residents
Maximum Capacity: 30
Parking: Small parking lot, limited street parking
Rental Requirement: You must print your rental receipt and bring it with you as proof of your reservation.
The Boathouse
Address: Pleasant Street at Wooster Pike
Description: Covered and enclosed shelter, heating available (No AC), two restrooms, only accessible by steep steps. Not handicapped accessible.

- 2 picnic tables & 2 serving tables inside, 2 additional picnic tables outside
- Electricity
- Heating available
- Restrooms (two)
- Sink
- Large patio
- Fire Pit (requires permission from Fire Chief with approved application)
- Benches
Rental Time: Maximum of 5 hours, Minimum of 4 hours
*Rental Fee: $6.25/hour for residents, $25/hour for non-residents; $50 refundable deposit for all
Maximum Capacity: 35 (age 18 and under: 1 adult to every 5 children)
Parking: Small parking lot at Dogwood Park, limited street parking
Rental Requirement: You must print your rental receipt and bring it with you as proof of your reservation.
*In order to rent the Boathouse you must make arrangements with the Administration Office (513.271.3246, option #3), in addition to the online reservation, to drop off a $50 refundable deposit check and to pick up a key.
The Concourse
Please note: the Concourse is undergoing renovations in 2024.
Address: Miami Bluff Drive at Center Street
Description: Semi-circular limestone and wisteria-covered structure with excellent view of the Little Miami River Valley. Ideal for photographic opportunities. This area is not covered, does not have grills, tables, or access to restrooms.

- Electricity (must request permission for it to be turned on)

Rental Fee: $25 for residents, $100 for non-residents
Maximum Capacity: 30
Parking: Limited street parking

John Nolen Pavilion at Madisonville Site Park
Address: East end of Mariemont Ave, near the Mariemont Pool
Description: Stone, open-air covered shelter. Offers a view of the Little Miami River valley as it might have looked to its early inhabitants. No grills, no water fountain, no restrooms.
Amenities:
- 2 picnic tables
- Nearby walking trails in the South 80
- Adjacent to large open grassy area
Rental Time: Maximum of 2 hours
Rental Fee: $25 for residents, $100 for non-residents
Maximum Capacity: 30
Parking: Use the Mariemont pool parking lot
Rental Requirement: You must print your rental receipt and bring it with you as proof of your reservation.
Ann Buntin-Becker Park
Address: Lanes C & B, Between Beech and Oak Streets
Description: Large play area with playground equipment and open space. Does not have a covered area or access to restrooms.
Amenities:
- 3 picnic tables
- 2 charcoal grills
- Water fountain
Rental Time: Maximum of 2 hours
Rental Fee: $25 for residents, $100 for non-residents
Maximum Capacity: 30
Parking: Small parking lot, limited street parking

South 80 Campsite

Address: South of 6000 Mariemont Ave
Description: Primitive camping area
Amenities:
- Fire Pit (requires permission with approved application)
- Walking & Fitness trail
- Bird/wildlife sanctuary
Rental Time: Maximum of three concurrent days/two nights
Rental Fee: $25 registration fee; must be 21 years of age and complete rental application
Maximum Capacity: 40 (ten 4-person tents)
Parking: 3 cars may park in provided parking near campsite, all others may use the pool’s parking lot
