The Village of Mariemont has adopted an updated ordinance regarding dogs in public spaces to improve safety and consistency across our parks.

Key updates:
- Dogs are not permitted to run at large.
- When not on the owner’s property, dogs must be on a leash and under control, except as noted below.
South 80 Acres Off-Leash Area:
Dogs may be off leash at the South 80 acres only if:
- The dog is under positive voice control
- The owner has no prior violations
- The dog is registered with the Village of Mariemont
- A valid Village-issued ID tag is displayed
Registration is administered by the Mariemont Police Department and requires a one-time fee. Registration may be revoked for violations.
Additional reminders:
- Dogs are not permitted in the enclosed Tot Lot at Dogwood Park (except service animals as permitted by law)
- Owners are liable for damages caused by their animal
- Violations may result in fines and escalating penalties

Registration can be completed in-person at the Mariemont Police Department at 6907 Wooster Pike. Please complete the Registration Form (below) and submit $50 to the MPD (cash or check made payable to Village of Mariemont).
